'I was heartbroken when Ronan wed'
Noelle Gibbons (26), from Dublin, was a diehard Boyzone fan who dreamed of becoming Ronan Keating's wife. She says: "I remember when I was about 13 my dad told me Ronan Keating was getting married and I felt like he'd just broken my heart!
"Even now, dad remembers how devastated I was – apparently I used to wear my confirmation dress and say I was Ronan's bride.
"Over a 10-year period, I probably went to at least 15 Boyzone concerts and had all the merchandise.
"My older brother had to take me to gigs and I'd make his ears bleed screaming, then beg him to hang around the gate at the Point afterwards hoping for a glimpse of the band. It was just one of those things at school where you were either Take That or Boyzone and I was Boyzone.
"People actually wouldn't be friends if they didn't like the same band, it was ridiculous.
"I don't think it's any different now with the One Direction fans. The only thing is they have Twitter, which makes it easier to stay in contact with the band.
"If we'd had that power back then we'd definitely have been using it to find Boyzone!"
