Hozier says Glastonbury gig will be very 'daunting'
Irish singer-songwriter Hozier is nervous about performing on the main stage at Glastonbury.
The Take Me to Church singer (inset) performed on the smaller John Peel stage last year and said this year will be "surreal".
"It's quite a leap, isn't it? I only realised that I was doing the Pyramid Stage quite recently. I'm kind of blown away by it. I'm absolutely thrilled, obviously," he said.
"It's going to be daunting, but a big landmark for me - very surreal."
He said what made Glastonbury special was that "everyone is there to have a good time, no matter what".
"We all commit ourselves to spending the weekend living like joyous refugees in a field," he said.
The Bray native also said there's really nothing he can do to prepare for his set on Sunday afternoon.
"I don't know how I'll prepare, I've never done anything like this before," he told the Radio Times.
"Festival gigs are different - there's no sound check because the changeover can be quite quick.
"So you go out there and you kind of fly by the seat of your pants, and that provides a new energy every time, which I love," he added.
