Hip hop acts top the bill for Oxegen 2010

Rappers Eminem and Jay Z and chart-toppers The Black Eyed Peas have been named among the main headline acts for this year’s Oxegen festival.

The full line-up for this year's festival features a string of Grammy, Brit and Meteor winners who have all proved popular with Irish music lovers.

Kasabian, winners of the Best Band award at the Brits, will be joined by rockers Muse and up-and-coming Australian band The Temper Trap.

Florence + The Machine, who won Best International Band at the Meteors, will follow up on their May gigs at the Olympia with an appearance at the Punchestown festival.

The Stereophonics are set to walk the boards at Oxegen once more along with Vampire Weekend and dance acts The Prodigy and Faithless.

This year's festival takes place at Punchestown racecourse, Co Kildare, from Friday, July 9, to Sunday, July 11, with tickets going on sale March 12.
