Gomez 'fires parents as managers'
Selena Gomez has reportedly fired her parents as managers.
The former Disney star's career had been overseen by her mum Mandy and stepfather Brian Teefey since she first became famous, but she has now decided to replace them, according to TMZ.
Sources told the gossip site that Come And Get It singer Selena, 21, felt she had "outgrown" her parents and decided last month to end their working relationship.
However, the split is said to be amicable.
Selena is now looking for a professional to manage her career.
E! News reported that Katy Perry's manager Bradford Cobb is being considered as a possible replacement.
