David Gest has vowed to show another side to Michael Jackson in a popumentary, The Real Michael Jackson.

The four-hour portrait of the late King of Pop, to air from June 14, will feature rare interviews with Michael's mother Katherine, elder sister Rebbie and brother Tito, as well as celebrity friends like Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick and Smokey Robinson.

"I have tried to show Michael in a truly unique light - I have spent the past three months travelling the world interviewing people who were most important in his life, and I believe this popumentary will entertain and educate in equal measures about who the real Michael Jackson was," David said.

"I hope this will serve as a lasting testament to the compassion and love that he had for all mankind. He was a very complex individual and this special reveals the many different facets of his personality."

The show also includes a never-before-seen interview between Michael and David at the Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, which shows the pop superstar laughing and playing jokes.
