Lady Gaga claims Queen of Pop Madonna has given her blessing to her new single Born This Way.
Some have compared Gaga's new track to Madonna's hit Express Yourself, and while the Grammy-winner admits Madonna is a huge influence on her, she said the idol had written to tell her she loved the song.
She told Jay Leno: "There is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan personally and professionally.
"Well the good news is that I got an email from her people and her sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single. If the queen says it shall be, then it shall be."
The singer appeared on Jay's show wearing a long sheer black dress, showing off black underwear underneath, with a black veil and black mask over her eyes, and brought him her three Grammy awards filled with M&Ms as a Valentine's Day gift.
Gaga admitted she had been out partying to celebrate her Grammy wins and said: "I don't remember very much. I know it was fun. I do remember being called Drunky Gaga at some point."
She also revealed: "I designed all the clothes for myself and the dancers and two days before the performance I changed everything because I didn't like the clothing, and I felt so bad because the House of Gaga was red-eyed and up all night."
The singer claimed emerging from an egg on stage was intended "to signify an artistic birthing of a new race within the race of humanity that bears no prejudice against anyone", as part of her campaign for gay rights.
