Aretha Franklin has said her health is "superb", one month after surgery for an undisclosed ailment.
The soul diva called in to The Wendy Williams Show in the US to tell the host she was relaxing at a casino hotel in her hometown and hopes to begin travelling soon.
The 68-year-old said she was "looking for a fabulous beach" and will have two more weeks of down time as she continues her recovery.
During the interview - in which Aretha hinted she was dating someone - the legendary singer also vowed to reschedule the concert dates she missed.
With the exception of written statements and print interviews with Jet magazine, the TV appearance was one of the first times she has been heard since the surgery in December.
