Miley Cyrus is coming to town.

MILEY Cyrus announced this morning that she is coming to Ireland next summer.

The tour, comes to the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on May 19th and  she plays the following night May 20th at The O2, in Dublin.

Tickets are expected to sell fast when they go on sale this Friday morning, December 13th.

Miley has dominated the charts with a number one album and  number one singles for “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.”

She has also taken a wrecking ball to her rivals after her number one hit was  named the most  sung song of the year by a karaoke  website.

The singer is in the running to be named as Person of the Year by Time magazine, when the results are announced this Wednesday of a readers' poll.

According to the news magazine, Cyrus has 29pc of the public vote, ahead of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, Syrian despot Bashar al-Assad and the Egyptian Minister of Defence.

She has not been out of the news  since her famous twerking episode on the MTV VMA's with Robin Thicke during the summer.

Then last month Cyrus lit up what looked like a cannabis joint as she accepted the award for Best Video at the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam , causing further controversy.

Tickets for the concerts are available on Ticketmaster.ie  from 9 am on Friday, with prices starting at €65 for the Dublin show.
