Eminem has met with a terminally ill fan, granting him his last wish.
The Slim Shady rapper surprised 17-year-old Gage Garmo, who had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
After an online campaign by Gage's family and friends, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, made the trip to Gage's Michigan house in secret on January 11, reported TMZ.com.
The pair spent around an hour together, chatting about sport, school and music, and the Rochester High School student was said to be in good spirits as he met his idol.
Rainbow Connection wish director Ingrid Todt told the Oakland Press: "The smile he had on his face when Eminem was sitting next to him was out of this world. His parents said they haven't seen him smile like that in quite a while. It's exactly what wishes are all about."
A day later, Gage lost his fight with bone cancer, and hundreds of people gathered at Rochester High school for a candlelight vigil in his memory.
