Del Rey lands fashion role
Lana Del Rey has been revealed as the new face of H&M.
The Video Games songstress has been chosen to front the autumn campaign for the high street brand, and will star in advertisements and a TV commercial in September.
The 26-year-old singer, whose real name is Lizzy Grant, will be performing her track Blue Velvet for the TV spot, which has been directed by filmmaker Johan Renck.
"H&M were looking for a style icon and singer to model our fall collection and so Lana Del Rey was the perfect choice. H&M chose Lana, because she wears their autumn fashion in a very inspiring way," a spokesperson for the brand said.
It's the latest fashion coup for Lana, who has also signed a deal as a model with Next Model Management agency.
