Eamon Sweeny

The Button Factory, Curved Street, Dublin 2, tonight (€20)

This Dutch DJ maestro left a career in interior architecture in favour of traveling the world to play a big bag of choons and hasn't looked back. Voorn has gone onto to play bigger and better rooms after being championed by Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier and Derrick May.

bruce willis & dusty

Twisted Pepper, Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1, tonight (€10/€12) Nope, it's not that Bruce Willis is having a go at this DJ lark, but an accomplished namesake from Cape Town who specialises in drum 'n' bass. The South African appears alongside hot UK bass sensation Dusky.

DANNY GROENLAND & THE MAJOR 7THS

Inspired by soul legends Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield and newer pioneers like D'Angelo and J Dilla, Groenland and the Major 7ths feature some of the finest jazz musicians in the country.
