Twisted Pepper, Middle Abbey Street, tonight, Dublin 1 (€13/€15)

Drum 'n' bass legend DJ Hype played a few blinding sets in the Kitchen in the mid to late 1990s – they were so good that are still talked about today. A truly brilliant DJ, to be true. If you're really into your drum 'n' bass, then this one is a truly unmissable experience.

The Pavilion, Carey's Lane, Cork, tonight (€7/€10)

This bass lovin' collective from the People's Republic of Corkonian Club Culture gathers the tribe together for a special one-off party.

The event will feature the Polish-born and Cork-based producer Radikal Guru, plus many more.

Róisín Dubh, Dominick Street, Galway, tonight (€5)

This weekend's instalment of The Hive from the team that brought you 110th Street will feature the musical themes of italo, post-punk and club classics. This all sounds like a cracking way of rounding off the night if you're heading to David Kitt earlier in the evening.

The Odeon, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, tomorrow (€5)

Dublin South DJs Simon Palmer, Carden Kent and Conor Brannelly join forces to present Dublin's only old-school night.

They're also looking to raise a few bob for their local radio station in the process in the recently re-opened and renovated Odeon.
