Boyzone's Mikey in Eurovision bid
Boyzone's Mikey Graham is making a bid for Eurovision glory as Ireland's entry in this year's song contest.
The 37-year-old singer - currently competing in ITV1's Dancing On Ice - has written a song for his wife Karen, called Baby, Nothing's Wrong, which is among the five tracks shortlisted for Ireland's Eurovision 2010 entry.
Mikey told The Sun: "I'm thrilled to be the final five of the Ireland's Eurovision selection - it would be a real honour to have the chance to represent my country."
He added: "I'm a huge fan of the Eurovision and Ireland have a great track record within the competition so to be in with a shot and to have the opportunity would be a dream come true."
"I wrote the song for my wife so it would be fantastic if I was lucky enough to be picked, to perform a song that's so special to me."
Mikey and the other four entrants will perform on the Late, Late show on March 5.
The winning song will be revealed that same night after Irish viewers vote for their favourite.
Mikey beat of stiff competition to be shortlisted, including a song written by bandmate Ronan Keating, which comedian Justin Lee Collins hoped to perform.
