Beyonce performs at White House
Beyonce, Jay-Z, Eva Longoria Parker and Whoopi Goldberg have all attended a special dinner at the White House.
The Single Ladies singer - who provided some of the post-dinner entertainment - was described by president Barack Obama as "somebody some of you may have heard of - named Beyonce" as her rapper husband looked on.
Whoopi said the event hosted by Obama felt like she was "coming home after a long drought", having been invited frequently during Bill Clinton's years, but not during George W Bush's presidency.
Eva talked policy, saying it was an important time to be holding such a dinner with Mexican leaders.
"You can't have these states doing their own punitive laws," she insisted, referring to Arizona's tough new immigration law.
Comedian George Lopez joked when asked about the security.
"The guy with the glove was nice," he deadpanned.
