1D's Louis pulls out of Rovers
One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has had to pull out of the Doncaster Rovers squad due to injury.
The boyband star said he had fulfilled his childhood dream when he was signed to the football team as a non-contract player last month. But Louis has now announced he won't be able to play until next year at the earliest.
Louis tweeted: "Unfortunately due to injury I cannot play at this week's Doncaster Rovers match. I will still be attending the match on the bench.
"I will play in another game in 2014, to be announced
"I'm really sorry I can't play, I'm gutted... but looking forward to watching the game. If you're coming down - see you there."
The 20-year-old singer was injured earlier this month when he was tackled by Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor during a charity match.
Fans watched Louis roll around in agony and he was in so much pain he was sick on the pitch.
Agbonlahor faced a backlash on Twitter from angry One Direction fans, but now it is Louis who has upset fans by pulling out of the match.
He tweeted: "Fans that have bought tickets for the match can apply for a full refund. Alternatively they can still attend the match and buy a ticket for the rescheduled game at a reduced price of £3.
"Fans who do not wish to attend may also keep their ticket and exchange it for the rescheduled match, again for a reduced price of £3."
