Scottish indie rockers Glasvegas also scored a high new entry with Euphoric Heartbreak, in at number 10.

Jennifer Lopez stayed at number one in the singles chart with On The Floor, featuring rapper Pitbull.

Party Rock Anthem, by LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennet and Goonrock, moved up a place to number two, while Katy Perry's ET, featuring Kanye West, made it from number 12 to five.

The longest stayer in the singles chart, Adele's Make You Feel My Love, crept back up one spot to 39 today - its 53rd week in the top 40.
