Adam Goldberg is better known as an actor, having appeared in such varied fare as Entourage and Band of Brothers. He's also got a yen for quirky pop, as this rather self-indulgent second album (but first under The Goldberg Sisters mantle) illustrates.
Yet, despite the maddening number of fillers, there are nuggets that shine brightly. Eric Erikson is alternative power-pop that wouldn't disgrace a Fountains of Wayne album, while You're Beautiful When You Die is a like a curio from Flaming Lips -- in the days when they wrote music that was worth listening to.
