Mum-to-be Aisling keeping busy with house move
SHE'S nine months pregnant, but TV3 star Aisling O'Loughlin is not one to sit about twiddling her thumbs.
The Xposé star is in the middle of moving house, and says packing boxes stops her "navel-gazing" at her baby bump.
"Nick and I are moving," 33- year-old Aisling told the Herald.
"The baby is due any day, and this is the perfect way to stop me quite literally navel-gazing all day long.
"I'm trying to keep busy so I don't just feel like I'm just hanging around and waiting."
Aisling and her partner, photographer Nick MacInnes, moved into their previous home in March last year.
Located in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains, it was surrounded by fields full of sheep and cows.
And while Aisling loves the idyllic location, she says raising children in an old and cold country house was
She said: "It's an old house and it gets very cold in the winter so we need to be practical about things.
"So we're moving to a warmer house that's more modern and closer to town but still has that cottage vibe to it."
Clare native Aisling already has a son, Patrick Nicholas, and says he is looking forward to having a younger brother.
"I think it's still a bit of an alien concept, but I think he'll love it when his brother
arrives," she said. "I had a C-section the first time I gave birth and I would like to have a
natural birth the second time.
"Not for ideological reasons, but because I have a baby and I need to pick him up and cuddle him."
On Thursday, Xposé producers announced that Michelle Doherty will replace Aisling during her six-month maternity leave.
Aisling said: "It's great. She'll be wonderful. I've never met her before, but I've seen her on camera and she'll
do a brilliant job."
