Witherspoon says Three Little Words
Reese Witherspoon could be reunited with her Walk The Line director James Mangold on drama Three Little Words.
The Oscar-winning actress is in talks to star in the big-screen adaptation of Ashley Rhodes-Courter's memoir Three Little Words, which James would produce and direct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The biography follows Ashley's life, after she entered the child welfare system in Florida when she was four. Years later, an unpaid volunteer discovered her and set out to convince her biological mother to surrender her parental rights so the teenager can begin a new life.
Reese is tipped to play the volunteer, while Amanda Seyfried is in line to portray the girl's biological mother in the movie, which has been written by Lewis Colick and Michael Petroni.
Production is expected to begin in Florida in September.
Reese - who was recently arrested for disorderly conduct - next stars in indie drama Mud alongside Matthew McConaughey and real-life crime drama Devil's Knot with Colin Firth and Stephen Moyer.
The 37-year-old, who has begun shooting drama The Good Lie, is also attached to sci-fi drama Passengers with Keanu Reeves, the big-screen adaptation of self-help book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and Disney film Wish List.
