Ruth Wilson has joked that she only wants handsome hunks as her co-stars, after sharing screen time with Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.

The 31-year-old has starred with Johnny in The Lone Ranger, Colin in Saving Mr Banks and Idris Elba in BBC drama Luther, as well as working with Jude Law in a production of Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie at the Donmar Warehouse in London.

"I get to work with all the best-looking men, as actors," she teased. "In my contract, they must be good-looking. I can't wait for the next one - I wonder who I'll get next."

Ruth's voice will feature in Steven Knight's Locke opposite Tom Hardy. The drama, which premiered at the London Film Festival, was filmed in a car and only focuses on Tom's character Ivan Locke.

"It was odd. A really experimental movie that's worked. That's brilliant," she said.

"It was shot in five days. He's the only one on screen but there's a whole ensemble of cast members who were all in a recording studio. It was like a live radio play so every night we would shoot it and we would do live phone calls to Tom."

The actress portrays Katrina, Ivan's wife, who discovers her husband's infidelity.

"It was quite exciting and Tom's absolutely exciting in that. It's a real tour de force," she said.

"I was hooked all the way through it. It's beautifully shot, it's beautifully performed. It's really thought-provoking about pride, the individual - what's right and wrong - and it's quite claustrophobic. You're stuck in a car with this guy, going through a journey, but it's really funny as well. It will surprise you."

:: Saving Mr Banks is in cinemas now, while Locke will be released in 2014.
