Weisz to join De Niro in Idol's Eye
Rachel Weisz is in talks to join the cast of gangster drama Idol's Eye.
The Oscar-winning actress could be sharing screen time with Robert De Niro and Robert Pattinson in Olivier Assayas' big-screen adaptation of the true-life tale, reported Variety.
Previously titled Hubris, the film is based on Hillel Levin's 2007 Playboy article called Boosting The Big Tuna. It follows a group of thieves who rob a man who turns out to be Chicago mafia boss Tony Accardo.
Production on Idol's Eye, which has been written by Olivier, is due to start in October in Chicago and Toronto.
Rachel, who won an Oscar for her performance in Fernando Meirelles' drama The Constant Gardener, was last seen as Evanora, the wicked witch of the East, in Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great And Powerful.
The 44-year-old, who starred opposite husband Daniel Craig in Broadway play Betrayal recently, will next appear in romantic thriller The Lobster alongside Colin Farrell, Ben Whishaw and John C Reilly.
