Weisz quitting smoking for Bourne
Rachel Weisz is trying to quit smoking in a bid to get fit for the new Bourne movie.
The 41-year-old actress is currently filming action flick The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner and told Metro she wants to kick the habit for the second time, as she previously gave up 10 years ago.
Rachel said: "I don't know why I started again. It's film sets... I mean, everyone smokes on a film set."
She added of her character in new drama The Deep Blue Sea: "It was down to that film, because she smokes the whole way through, roll-ups."
Rachel added that she is in training for Bourne. She said: "I've started doing a bit of running. I'm going to get a little bit fitter."
Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning actress is in talks to star opposite Colin Firth in new real life war drama The Railway Man.
Colin will play Lomax, a second lieutenant in the Royal Corp of Signals, who was captured by Japanese forces in World War II and sent to a prison camp.
Years after the war is over the former prisoner of war is still struggling to cope with the psychological damage caused by his captors.
Rachel will play Lomax's second wife Patti who helps him to confront his fears and hatred.
The film, using Frank Cottrell Boyce's adaptation of Lomax's story, will be directed by Burning Man's Jonathan Teplitzky and is due to begin filming in spring 2012.
