Kevin Costner's Waterworld could be set for a reboot, it has been reported.
The 1995 film - which the actor starred in and co-produced - became the stuff of Hollywood legend because it was the most expensive movie ever made at the time and struggled to recoup its massive 175 million dollar budget at the box office.
But Forbes reports that US cable network Syfy might be set to remake the flick, either as a film or as a TV series.
It seems Syfy has been looking to move into feature film development, and Waterworld gets good ratings whenever the channel airs it.
The original film starred Kevin, Dennis Hopper and Jeanne Tripplehorn as survivors on a post-apocalyptic Earth where the polar caps have melted, flooding the planet.
