Wahlberg kids in Transformers cameo
Mark Wahlberg has revealed his children make a cameo appearance in the new Transformers movie, Age Of Extinction.
The Pain And Gain star has four children aged between three and 10, and he confessed to MTV News he was worried they might incur the wrath of director Michael Bay if they didn't get their take right.
Mark revealed: "My kids just did a cameo, just scared people in the street looking up, but they did a great job. I was so nervous because Michael doesn't have time for bad performances.
"You have to understand; you're shooting a 300 million dollar movie. You've got a lot going on. He's got five, six takes. If you ain't got it, you're done. I didn't want to see my kids get clipped. They were excited about it, but they started to get mad at me because I'm trying to over-direct them. It went great."
The action star - who appears alongside Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz and Sophia Myles in the movie - admitted he was extremely grateful to Michael for letting his kids take part.
He said: "For him to take the time to set up the specific shot that he actually wants to put in the movie for my kids. I don't like asking for those kinds of things. I was going to send him a text, but I just wanted to wait and thank him in person. I gave him a big hug."
The fourth instalment in the franchise about shape-shifting robots is due out in 2014. TJ Miller, Han Geng and Chinese actress Li Bingbing also have parts in the film, which is the follow up to 2011's Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.
Transformers: Age Of Extinction is currently being filmed in the US and in China.
