Wahlberg: Bieber film will be good
Justin Bieber's basketball movie will be "worth the wait", Mark Wahlberg has promised.
The Contraband star, who is set to appear with the teenage singer in the new film, admitted that while the project has not yet officially received the go-ahead, a script is already being written.
""We're waiting for the script. Every time I see [Bieber], I have to explain that it's a bit of a process having the script written," he told MTV.com at the SXSW festival in the US.
"It certainly [has to be] something that's good enough to go and have green-lit and make right away. But I think it will be well worth the wait."
Mark has revealed that the sporting drama, in the vein as The Colour Of Money, will see him taking the young popstar under his wing.
"Wait till you see me and Bieber in the flick. Think of, like The Colour Of Money," he said, likening the movie to the Martin Scorsese classic, which starred Paul Newman with Tom Cruise.
Justin has hinted that he hopes to fit a film into his busy schedule this summer, although he didn't go into detail.
"Hopefully, next summer I can start on a movie or something," he said last year.
