Vince Vaughn is in talks to play a man who fathers hundreds of children through sperm donations in a new movie.

The Wedding Crashers actor - who became a dad in 2010 when wife Kyla Weber gave birth to a baby girl - is tipped to take on the lead in Starbuck, a remake of a 2011 film, reports Deadline.

If Vince, 42, signs up he will play a middle-aged man whose life is turned upside down when he discovers that the sperm he donated when he was younger has resulted in more than 500 children.

Things get worse when some of his offspring file a lawsuit to find out who he is.

Starbuck will be directed by Ken Scott, who co-wrote and was at the helm of the French-language original.
