Matthew Vaughn has reportedly decided not to direct the sequel to X-Men: First Class.
The British director had been expected to get behind the camera for X-Men: Days Of Future Past after making the first film in the reboot series, with cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew Fassbender and James McAvoy set to reprise their roles.
But according to Deadline, Matthew has pulled out of directing the project, and top of the studio's replacement list is Bryan Singer, who produced X-Men: First Class and directed X-Men and X2.
Kick-Ass director Matthew would apparently produce the movie instead, along with writer Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.
Matthew is said to be making another movie for Fox, which is rumoured to be the drama Secret Service.
