Vaughn joins Lay The Favourite cast
Vince Vaughn is the latest addition to the cast of Stephen Frears' Lay The Favourite.
The comic actor is to play a Long Island bookmaker called Rosie, with Rebecca Hall taking the lead role of Beth Raymer, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress who becomes an elite professional gambler, reported Deadline.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Bruce Willis also appear in the big-screen adaptation of the real-life 2010 memoirs, Lay The Favourite: A Memoir Of Gambling, as legendary gambler Dink Heimowitz, Beth's mentor who teaches her the finer points of betting on sports, and his wife.
After falling in love with Dink, Beth soon begins to re-evaluate her life and the profession she has chosen, starting off as Dink's right-hand woman and working her way up to a trusted and seasoned expert.
Vince, who welcomed his first child with wife Kyla last December, was last seen in The Dilemma alongside Kevin James, Winona Ryder and Jennifer Connelly.
