Toy Story IV joins Finding Nemo II and Monster Inc sequel in the works

BUY the popcorn ... it seems Finding Nemo II and Toy Story IV are in the works.

Pixar has already confirmed a sequel to its hit 2001 film Monsters Inc,. Monsters University, is set to be released on June 21, 2013.

But repoerts are circling that Finding Nemo II and possibly Toy Story IV are also in development.

A director has reportedly been selected for Finding Nemo II and Tom Hanks told BBC News last year that he believed Toy Story IV' was already "being worked on."

Earlier this week, reports emerged that Finding Nemo II is being pursued by Disney-Pixar and that original director Andrew Stanton will be returning for the sequel.

The original film, about the adventures of a little clownfish, made $865 million at the box office and won an Oscar; Finding Nemo 3D is already in progress, which will test the waters for the rumoured sequel.

Numerous industry outlets have reported on Stanton's selection as director but Disney and Pixar are refusing to comment on the film's development.

Meanwhile, last year Tom Hanks (the voice behind the toy cowboy character Woody in the 'Toy Story' films) said during an interview with BBC News that he believed 'Toy Story 4' was being worked on.

'Toy Story' has become one of the most successful franchises in animated film history.
