Timberlake to sing for Coen bros?
Justin Timberlake could be combining his music and acting careers with a role in the Coen brothers' forthcoming film Inside Llewyn Davis.
The pop star-turned-actor is said to have been offered a leading role in the musical biopic, where he would hit the right notes as a folk musician called Jim, reported Variety.
Carey Mulligan is already on board as Jean, while Oscar Isaac would take the titular role of the struggling folk musician, said to be loosely based on US folk singer Dave van Ronk, who presided over the 60s music scene in Greenwich Village, New York alongside artists like Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
Shooting will take place in New York in early 2012.
Justin has been focusing on the big screen since taking a break from recording, appearing in David Fincher's The Social Network, Bad Teacher opposite Cameron Diaz and Friends With Benefits alongside Mila Kunis.
He next stars with Amanda Seyfried in sci-fi thriller In Time.
