Tilda: Hollywood is exotic for me
Tilda Swinton has revealed she finds it more "exotic" working on big studio films, as she is so used to working as a producer on independent projects.
The Oscar-winning actress - who has starred in The Chronicles of Narnia films and Michael Clayton with George Clooney - stars as the Russian wife of a wealthy Italian business man in new movie I Am Love, which she spent 11 years working on with director Luca Guadagnino.
Tilda said: "I am quite out there as a producer, obviously with slight holiday breaks, like working with Disney or George Clooney - no need there to sit with the filmmaker for 11 years and develop a script or go around the world raising money."
She added: "But generally speaking that's the work I've always done. So it's more exotic for me to be given a script that's already written and be given a pay cheque and asked to dress up and play, and that's all. The whole thing of working in collaboration with filmmakers is the thing that I love the most and possibly the thing I do the best."
:: I Am Love is released on April 9.
