Thwaites to join Gods Of Egypt
Brenton Thwaites has been signed up to the cast of the period epic Gods Of Egypt.
The former Home And Away actor will be cast in the role of a mortal in the film about mythical gods, Deadline has said.
He will play a thief who joins forces with the god Horus, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, in the hope of breaking a curse.
Gerard Butler also stars as the god Set who has been casting the curses.
Brenton can be seen in the upcoming Maleficent as Prince Phillip opposite Angelina Jolie and recently finished filming Helen Hunt's Ride, sci-fi thriller The Signal and drama Son Of A Gun with Ewan McGregor.
He is about to start work on another sci-fi film, The Giver, with a star cast including Alexander Skarsgard, Taylor Swift, Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes and Jeff Bridges.
