Thornton: I like old-style filming
Billy Bob Thornton revealed he got involved in new action film Faster because it bucked the current trend for computer-generated wizardry.
"It was a good way to do a more realistic movie right now in the times when we're making all these computer graphic movies which I'm not a big fan of," said the actor, who stars alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the action-thriller about an ex-con who sets out to avenge the death of his brother.
"Also to be in one of those movies and yet still have a character that actually has something going on instead of a nameless, faceless robot. That was really the main appeal.
"It was a good script and it always starts with that."
Billy Bob isn't a fan of social networking either.
"If you ever see a Facebook that has anything to do with me I don't have anything to do with it. Somebody said, 'You have this many thousand friends' or something like that and I said 'No I don't, I got like 7 friends!'" he said.
"People are tweeting, 'I just went to the market, now I'm going home'. Don't you think its putting too much silliness in people's heads? There's too much access, you can get to people right away."
