Marvel's Norse superhero has been hammering audiences around the globe.

Thor: The Dark World made 52.5 million dollars internationally over the weekend, bringing its worldwide total to 479.8 million (£297 million).

Last Vegas, starring Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline, was in third place in the States this week, followed by animated comedy Free Birds.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, a former box office number one, was in fifth place.
