Emma Thompson has joined the cast of Jason Reitman's next film, Men, Women And Children.

The Saving Mr Banks star will be the narrator of the drama, which has started shooting in and around Austin, Texas, reported Collider.

Adam Sandler and Rosemarie DeWitt are already on board, while Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer and Dean Norris are some of the latest additions to the cast.

Based on Chad Kultgen's novel of the same name, Jason will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erin Cressida Wilson.

Men, Women And Children follows the story of a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they look at the many ways the internet affected their lives - changing their relationships, communication, self-image and love lives.

The film also tackles social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and the growing amount of illicit material on the internet, which can be accessed through mobile phones, tablets and computers.

Adam and Rosemarie will play Don and Rachel Truby and Travis Tope will play their son Chris, while Jennifer stars as Patricia Beltmeyer with Kaitlyn Dever as her daughter Brandy.

Judy will play another parent, Joan Clint, with Olivia Crocicchi as her daughter Hannah, and Dean will portray Kent Mooney with Ansel Elgort playing his son Tim.

A release date for Men, Women And Children has yet to be announced, but there is speculation that it will be ready for release in 2014.
