Tatum being eyed for UNCLE role
Channing Tatum is the latest name to be linked to The Man From UNCLE.
The GI Joe star is said to have captured the attention of director Steven Soderbergh for the upcoming film adaptation of the 1960s TV series, after working with him in Magic Mike, reported Deadline.
The duo are thought to have met to discuss the project - but no official offer is reported to have been made.
Bradley Cooper and Joel Edgerton had been offered the two leads of American and Russian UNCLE spies Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, before both are rumoured to have dropped out.
Channing is tipped for Napoleon, which was originally played by Robert Vaughn, while the net has been cast to find his sidekick for the role which made Scottish actor David McCallum famous.
Emily Blunt and Imogen Poots are rumoured to be in the running for the female roles in the remake, written by Scott Z Burns.
