Tarantino finds Aussie brothers
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony LaPaglia are to be "mean brothers" on Quentin Tarantino's spaghetti western Django Unchained.
Australian actor Anthony - best known for portraying FBI agent Jack Malone in TV series Without A Trace - is to play Jano, the leader of a group of greedy Australians who meet slave-turned-bounty hunter Django (Jamie Foxx), with Joseph as his unlikely Australian sibling.
"It's wildly ambitious and imaginative, deals with that subject matter in a way it hasn't been dealt with before," Anthony told Deadline.
"The way the cast has shaped up, it's exciting to be involved," he added.
The duo are part of a huge star-studded ensemble that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, Kurt Russell and Don Johnson.
Filming is expected to kick off in January for a release in December 2012.
