Susan Sarandon eyes up Snitch role
Susan Sarandon is in negotiations to star opposite Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the action thriller Snitch, according to reports.
The Hollywood Reporter said she was eyeing up the role of an ambitious lawyer who is looking to further her political career in the film.
Dwayne will play a father who is devastated when his teenage son is sentenced to 30 years in prison for drug offences.
The film, based on a documentary, sees the father go undercover to expose a drug dealer so that he can reduce his son's sentence, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Susan's lawyer role in the film - to be directed by former stuntman Ric Roman Waugh - was originally written for a man.
The actress is currently filming an adaptation of the David Mitchell novel Cloud Atlas and Robert Redford's political thriller The Company You Keep.
