Steve Carell reprised his Anchorman role - by presenting the weather forecast on TV.

The Hollywood comic, who raised laughs as San Diego weatherman Brick Tamland in Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy, was a natural as he got to grips with the green screen.

Steve, who presented the weather for Bank Holiday weekend on GMTV, predicted: "We have rain, and more rain... Let's just say this, you will be seeing a lot of rain no matter where you go in the UK."

The 47-year-old, who stars with Tina Fey in new movie Date Night, has said he's up for the eagerly awaited Anchorman sequel.

"Oh, absolutely. Yeah, in a second," he told MTV.

"I've heard some inklings as to what [writer-director] Adam McKay has in mind for a sequel, and it's really funny. But I couldn't say anything more than that."

:: Date Night is out on April 21.
