Sylvester Stallone is set to play a hitman in action thriller Bullet To The Head.
The Expendables star is tipped to take the lead role as a New Orleans contract killer in the big-screen adaptation of Matz' graphic novel, reported Deadline.
He joins forces with a New York City cop (rumoured to be Fast Five's Sung Kang) as they try to avenge the murders of their partners.
The film would be directed by Walter Hill, and produced by Joel Silver and Dark Castle Entertainment, who previously produced Sly's Demolition Man and Assassins.
The upcoming film is scheduled to begin production on location in Louisiana later this month.
Next up for Sly is the eagerly anticipated sequel to The Expendables. While he starred, directed and co-wrote the original, he has said he will not be directing or writing the follow-up, just reprising his role as crew leader Barney Ross.
