Simon Pegg searches for Happiness
Simon Pegg is to play a psychiatrist searching for the secret to happiness in new comedy Hector And The Search For Happiness.
The film is being directed by Serendipidy's Peter Chelsom, who has adapted the story with the help of co-writer Tinker Lindsay from the best-selling novel of the same name by Francois Lelord, movie blog Collider.com reports.
Simon will star as Hector, a psychiatrist who lives in London and cannot work out how to stop his patients being so miserable. So he sets off on a round-the-world tour to study the people he meets in the hope of finding the secret to being happy.
Simon has been filming Star Trek 2, in which he returns as ship's engineer Scotty, and is about to begin filming The World's End with Nick Frost and Edgar Wright, the final part in their comedy horror trilogy, which began with Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz.
He will next appear in A Fantastic Fear Of Everything, the directorial debut from Kula Shaker's Crispian Mills.
