Sevigny wants a starring role
Chloe Sevigny is fed up of playing supporting roles.
The 35-year-old stylish actress - whose film credits include American Psycho and Melinda And Melinda - confessed to People she is desperate to be a leading lady.
Chloe, who stars in HBO drama Gig Love about a polygamist family, revealed: "Agents say that everyone thinks when you are doing a series, you aren't available: not true - I feel like it has been hard for me as far as films go to get more of the leading parts."
But the fashionista is pleased with the success of Big Love.
She said: "I am surprised by how many people react to the show, how many people come up to me in the streets.
"Such a wide range of people find things they love about it."
Chloe attended the South By Southwest film festival in Austin for the premieres of two of her upcoming movies, Barry Munday and Mr Nice, which she revealed were shot on "hiatus" from the hit TV show.
Chloe revealed: "We shot Barry Munday two years ago and then on my last hiatus shot Mr Nice."
But despite her desire to land a leading role, Chloe claimed: "I am not that ambitious in plotting my life out. I always believed in fate. If it doesn't happen, it wasn't meant to. I don't know if that is me being lazy or justifying the way things happen. But it has always worked for me."
