Adam Sandler is apparently in talks to play Andy Samberg's father in I Hate You Dad.
Despite the 12-year age difference between the duo in real life, the Grown Ups star is considering taking on the paternal role in the film, which focuses on a father who moves in on the eve of his son's wedding and promptly begins fighting with the bride-to-be, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Adam's company Happy Madison is producing the comedy, penned by David Caspe, with no director on board yet.
The pair made their names through Saturday Night Live, with Andy still among the current cast. He starred in 2007's Hot Rod and has played supporting characters in I Love You, Man and the forthcoming Friends With Benefits with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.
Adam's next big-screen outing is in romantic comedies Just Go With It with Jennifer Aniston, then Jack and Jill alongside Katie Holmes and Al Pacino.
