Russell Brand's superhero dream
Russell Brand has declared he would love to play a superhero.
The funnyman, who is known for playing loveable cads in films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek, is a comic book fan and used to doodle the Superman logo.
"I'd like to become a superhero - when I was a kid, I even had the Superman logo on my duvet cover," he told Collider.com.
Russell, who next stars as Trinculo in Julie Taymor's The Tempest, got a taste of his superhero wish for the forthcoming Arthur, where he said he got to wear George Clooney's Batman costume.
He also sat inside the Batmobile and the DeLorean car from Back To The Future Part II.
"It was really cool to be in Val Kilmer's Batmobile - it's a pretty sexy experience," he continued.
"The interior is a bit tatty but the people who made those vehicles assured me it was the actual Batmobile. I also went into the actual DeLorean from Back To The Future Part II - b****y brilliant."
Russell, who is married to pop star Katy Perry, quipped he may have absorbed some of George's powers from his costume.
"I wore George Clooney's Batman suit. There were areas where his sweat had accumulated, which I would have had near me, so maybe I have some Clooney power soaked in by osmosis into my perineum," he joked.
