Rupert Grint has confessed he felt no pressure to hit the gym for the new Harry Potter film.

The latest instalment, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I, is a dark, action-packed journey as Rupert's character Ron travels around the country with friends Harry and Hermione, on the run from enemy Voldemort's henchman and searching for Horcruxes - the keys to Voldemort's mortality.

Rupert revealed at the film's London premiere: "I've never really been one for the gym. But there's a lot of running. I quite like the action. Particularly in part two, it's like a war film."

The 22-year-old actor, whose character Ron has often been the comedy sidekick in previous films, admitted he enjoyed getting in touch with his dark side.

He said: "It was really nice to see a different side of him. The Ron we've seen in the past is happy and quite cheerful and we see a much darker side to him - he's angry and jealous and paranoid and it was really good to see."
