R-Patz: Press attention is boring
Robert Pattinson has admitted the worldwide obsession with the stars of Twilight has got "a little boring".
The heartthrob actor's role in the films, adapted from books by American author Stephenie Meyer, has earned him a trailing army of paparazzi and screaming girls, but the 24-year-old insists the appeal is beginning to wane.
"It can get a little boring," he told the Times.
Filming for the series ends in seven months, but R-Patz's publicity tour - and the interest from the frenzied media - is likely to extend well beyond then.
"I've learned to let it go a bit, but I'm still really bothered by it," London-born Pattinson said.
"The more you are exposed, the more people irrationally hate you.
"I think we reached a point, a peak, with New Moon where the stories became so saturated into the culture that it started to feel normal.
"It's like the tabloids don't know what to write anymore because they've used up all their scandals."
