Rooney Mara is apparently in talks to star in big screen drama Ain't Them Bodies Saints.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress is thought to be "attached" to the film alongside Casey Affleck and Ben Foster, reported Deadline.
The contemporary story in the vein of Bonnie And Clyde, set in the 1970s and developed at the Sundance Writers Lab in January, has been written and is to be directed by David Lowery.
It's been an exciting week for Rooney, who received an Oscar nomination for best actress for her performance as troubled computer hacker Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's US remake.
As well as being on board for the two forthcoming sequels of Stieg Larsson's best-selling novels, the 27-year-old has reportedly signed on to replace Carey Mulligan in Spike Jonze's as-yet-untitled project and is rumoured to have been offered a lead role in the upcoming adaptation of Colm Toibin's Brooklyn.
She is also starring in Steven Soderbergh's psychological thriller The Bitter Pill alongside Channing Tatum, Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
