Ronan to play feminist Brittain
Saoirse Ronan is tipped to play Vera Brittain in Testament Of Youth.
The 18-year-old Irish actress could be portraying the British feminist and writer in the big-screen adaptation of her best-selling memoir of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Harry Potter producer David Heyman is set to jump on board for producing duties with his company Heyday Films.
Saoirse - who was last seen as teenage assassin Hanna - is expected to play Vera, who was 17-year-old when World War I began.
Testament Of Youth, which was published in 1993, recounted the writer's wartime experiences and the beginning of her journey towards pacifism.
Saoirse will next be seen in fantasy thriller Byzantium alongside Gemma Arterton, as well as sci-fi thriller The Host with Max Irons and Diane Kruger.
