Rihanna: I'd like a rom-com role

Rihanna has revealed her movie debut in Battleship has left her keen for more film roles.

The Good Girl Gone Bad singer plays a weapons specialist in the new Liam Neeson alien flick, and now wants to try her hand at something more light-hearted.

She told The Sun: "I want to do comedy, maybe a romantic comedy. I want to try being more vulnerable, but I want to try different things. I don't want to stick to one type of role."

Rihanna, who picked up the award for best international female for the second year in a row at last week's Brits, said she loved every moment of making Battleship.

"I would come back to the set with black gunpowder everywhere - it was crazy. But it was so much fun," she said.

And the Navy uniform she wore in the film was also a refreshing change for the fashion-conscious star.

"It felt good not to have to think about what to wear," Rihanna added. "Every day was the exact same thing. It was really comfortable."
