Ryan Reynolds has said he fell in love with new animation Turbo, because it is a classic underdog story... about a snail.
The Canadian actor voices the title character, a snail whose DNA gets fused with nitrous oxide, making him as fast as any race car, who then starts competing in races.
Ryan said: "I just fell in love with that idea of a classic underdog story.
"What kid doesn't dream of piloting a fast car, running around a race track at six billion miles per hour?!"
Ryan is joined by a string of stars voicing characters in the movie, including Samuel L Jackson, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Snoop Dogg, Paul Giamatti and Ken Jeong.
Samuel said: "You look on screen and you see indie cars going 'Vroom' and then you see a snail going 'Vroom' right with them. It's like, 'Okay!'"
Maya, who voices another snail, added: "It's unbelievable what he can do, so in the snail world it's got to be truly insane!"
Turbo opens in cinemas on July 17.
